The English FA has shared a new development on premier league fixtures following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
The English FA in a statement shared today, Friday, September 9, 2022, confirmed that all premier league fixtures from Saturday 10th to Monday 11th September 2022 have been postponed to mourn the death of Her royal majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
The matches would however be scheduled for another date which has not been confirmed yet. The official statement read:
At a meeting this morning, Premier League clubs paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. To honour her extraordinary life and contribution to the nation, and as a mark of respect, this weekend’s Premier League match round will be postponed, including Monday evening’s game.
