After numerous days of speculations, the premier league has given a full update on if the fixture Chelsea vs Liverpool would hold.
The organizers of the Premier League have cleared the air on if the fixture, Chelsea vs Liverpool, would take place on Sunday, September 18, 2022, ahead of the Queen of England's burial on Monday, September 19, 2022.
The match has been confirmed to be cancelled, but the blues also confirmed that the UEFA Champions League fixture Chelsea vs Salzburg would still hold midweek.
In an official statement, Chelsea confirmed:
Sunday’s fixture between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge has been postponed, the Premier League have confirmed. The Blues were set to welcome Jurgen Klopp’s Reds to London on Sunday afternoon but that game will now not take place.

The Premier League statement explains that following extensive consultation with clubs, police, local Safety Advisory Groups and other relevant authorities, there was no option but to postpone the three remaining fixtures of this round of match.
