The June 2024 transfer window is set to experience its first 2-player plus cash swap deal as both Aston Villa and Juventus reach an unexpected agreement.
According to official reports, Aston Villa and Juventus have both reached an agreement which will see 2 players from the Serie A as well as an additional payment of 20 million euros happen in exchange for the Brazilian Douglas Luiz.
It has been confirmed that both Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling Jr will join Aston Villa ahead of the 2024/2025 season for Douglas Luiz.
This is a shocking move that many did not see coming as Fabrizio Romano also confirmed that Villa will also be receiving a cash sum of 20 million euros for the Brazilian who has also captured the attention of many clubs in the premier league one of which has been identified as Arsenal who reportedly made over 3 bids for Luiz in the 2023/2024 season.
Luiz has reportedly agreed to join Juventus, while McKennie has reached an agreement to transfer to Aston Villa.

The 20-year-old, who spent nine years in Chelsea’s academy before transferring to Juventus in 2020, was born in Islington and has played for England’s Under-21 team. Over the past two seasons, he has made 45 appearances for Juventus.
Arsenal are searching for a new central midfielder, and reports had suggested Mikel Arteta's team was contemplating another attempt to sign the 26-year-old this summer.
However, Arsenal will now explore other options, having decided not to pursue their previous interest in Luiz.
