Nottingham Forest reportedly set to announce its fourth manager of the season

Nottingham Forest have reportedly opened talks with Viktor Pereira as a replacement for Sean Dyche who was sacked after series of bad results at the club.

The 57-year-old quickly emerged as a perfect replacement option for Dyche, having worked previously under Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis at Greek club Olympiacos. Forest sacked Sean Dyche shortly after being held to a goalless draw by bottom club Wolves on Wednesday, leaving them three points above the relegation zone with 12 games remaining.

Forest have acted fast to find a replacement for Dyche, who lasted 114 days after the disastrous spell of Ange Postecoglou, who lasted 40. Dyche lost only one of his final six Premier League games but had a strained relationship with the squad and bore the brunt of the fans’ displeasure during the goalless draw with Wolves on Wednesday, February 11, 2025.

Pereira was key in keeping Wolves in the Premier League last season having joined midway through the campaign, but he was sacked in November 2025 with the club on two points from 10 matches.

The Portuguese is in line to become Forest's fourth manager of the season following Nuno Espirito Santo, Ange Postecoglou and Dyche all getting the sack letter.
