Who are the nominees for April 2024's Player of the Month?

Here is the full shortlist for the nominees of the Premier League Player of the Month for April 2024:

Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd)

In just five appearances, the midfielder from Manchester United was involved in seven goals, with two of them being great long-range efforts. He failed to score or assist only in one match.

Josko Gvardiol (Man City)

Manchester City won all five matches in the title race, with the centre-back making his mark at both ends of the pitch. He played a pivotal role in two clean sheets, while also scoring and assisting against Luton Town, and getting the opening goal at Nottingham Forest.

Kai Havertz (Arsenal)

His team won five out of six matches in April, with the Arsenal star contributing to seven goals. Havertz was involved in either scoring or setting up a goal in four out of six appearances. Only in two matches did he not contribute to a goal.

Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace)

A total of six games saw Crystal Palace's striker scoring five goals, including a goal against Man City, followed by braces in consecutive victories over West Ham United and Newcastle United.

Cole Palmer (Chelsea)

Palmer was able to lead the league with seven goals and eight-goal involvements in spite of having made just four appearances. His hat-trick in a 4-3 win against Man Utd, which included scoring the equaliser and the winning goals in the second-half stoppage time, was followed by another four goals in a 6-0 win over Everton. This win helped him draw level with Erling Haaland in the Castrol Golden Boot race.

Jordan Pickford (Everton)

In six games, Everton's goalkeeper managed to maintain a clean sheet four times, which helped his team avoid the threat of relegation. He had to work hard to prevent any goals, as he made a total of 23 saves, which was the third-highest number of saves in April. During the match against Liverpool, he made seven saves, which was crucial in securing Everton's first home Merseyside derby win since 2010.
