The Super Eagles of Nigeria head coach, Jose Santos Peseiro, has confirmed his squad ahead of the friendly fixtures that will be played in Portugal.
As the international break approaches, the Super Eagles of Nigeria have begun their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying rounds, as it has been confirmed that the Eagles will play two friendly matches in Portugal against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.
Nigeria would take on Saudi Arabia on October 13, 2023, with Mozambique following up as their opponents on October 16, 2023. The team named by Jose Santos Peseiro is one full of quality and talented stars who have been representing the country in different top leagues in Europe.
Fans are excited about the announcement as the team had been missing important players in all departments in the previous year, limiting how far Nigeria has gone in international competitions in recent times. The new list confirms the quality of players Nigeria possesses and thereby raises the expectations of fans as to how far we can go in AFCON 2024.
