The quest of Arsenal Football Club to win the Premier League for the first time in over two decades suffered another major blow at the hands of Newcastle United.
The game against Newcastle United was the third time that Arsenal will be dropping points in three consecutive Premier League. Alexander Isak's goal in the opening stage of the game was enough to give the Magpies maximum points against the Gunners.
Arsenal are now five points behind league leaders Manchester City having played a game more. The supporters of the London team came into the match full of confidence after Gabriel Magalhaes was announced on the first team by Mikel Arteta.
They will also fall seven points behind Liverpool if the Reds beat Brighton on Saturday. These results will make it difficult for the Gunners to push for the title ahead of the stressful Christmas congestion in the League and the Champions League.
Arsenal's next game is against their fellow London team, Chelsea at the Emirates before the last international break on the year.
