The face of the Nigerian is seen around most places in Napoli, on buses, and at the mall, people were seen chanting the name of the striker.
The Nigerian striker continued in his fine form when he scored Napoli's goal in the 57th minute of the game. The goal sparked celebrations among thousands of travelling Napoli supporters, and those at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples, where the match was shown on big screens.
Napoli led the table for most of the season, producing the best and most entertaining football by some distance, spearheaded by Osimhen and the Georgia winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. They have lost three league games all season.
