Serie A club side, Napoli have reportedly received an official bid from Saudi Arabia-based club, Al-Alhi for a deal Victor Osimhen, before the summer transfer closes in less than a week.
The deal is reportedly worth €70m, which Napoli could be open to considering, but there are reports that Victor Osimhen is waiting for PSG, Arsenal or Chelsea. The forward player really signed a new contract in December 2023 with the express intention of leaving this summer for the release clause of €130m, but nobody has gone anywhere close to it.
Transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano comfirmed the news on his offocial social media accounts on Sunday, August 25, 2024. According to him, Al-Ahli has made the first genuinely firm offer for Osimhen, which is set at €70m. The amount is less than the release clause, but still potentially enough for Napoli to accept in these circumstances.
Victor Osimhen has not responded to the club that he will jjoin, however Napoli are hoping to receive €100m plus bonuses for the Nigerian but the situation is becoming more unlikely to happen as each day passes by.
Chelsea's priority is to sell up players before the transfer window closes so they can begin talks over Osimhen on loan with an obligation to buy is Chelsea's preferred deal for the 25-year-old, although Napoli and Osimhen arw reportedly willing to lower their demands to help the move go through. Osimhen has scored 76 goals in 133 games for Napoli over the past four seasons.
