Following the announcement of his suspension from football due to allegations of doping, Chelsea's Mudryk has taken new steps in this regard.
Mykhailo Mudryk has enlisted the services of the same law firm that successfully handled Paul Pogba’s doping ban appeal, a decision that comes after Mudryk’s suspension, as he seeks to challenge and potentially overturn the ruling.
Typically, the appeals process involves steps like filing a notice of appeal, reviewing the case details, preparing a detailed opening brief, and presenting arguments during a hearing. Mudryk’s legal team will likely scrutinize the circumstances of his suspension, searching for procedural errors or grounds to argue that the punishment was unjust, disproportionate, or unsupported by evidence.
While appeal outcomes are unpredictable and success isn’t guaranteed, having an experienced firm could improve Mudryk’s chances of a favourable result.
According to The Telegraph, Mudryk has hired Morgan Sports Law, the firm that represented Paul Pogba after his initial four-year doping ban was reduced to 18 months on appeal. Pogba, now linked to a potential free transfer to Manchester City, will resume training next month and return to competitive play in March.
