Mikel Arteta Tests Positive For Covid-19

Manager of Arsenal Football Club, Mikel Arteta has tested positive for COVID-19, in the latest round of tests that was conducted on both players and staff members of the club.

Arsenal confirmed the news on its website on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021. According to reports from the club, the Spaniard will miss the league game against Manchester City on January 1st, 2022.

Arteta is the third manager in the Premier League to test positive for the virus. Aston Villa's manager, Steven Gerrard, and Crystal Palace's manager, Patrick Vieria, both tested positive for the virus and were not present for their games against Chelsea and Norwich, respectively.
