Mikel Arteta has been named the 2025/26 Premier League Manager of the Season after guiding Arsenal to their first league title in 22 years.

This is the first time Mikel Arteta has won the prestigious award since becoming Arsenal manager in 2019. The Spaniard beat competition from managers including Pep Guardiola, Andoni Iraola and Michael Carrick after leading Arsenal through a remarkable campaign that ended their long wait for a Premier League crown.

Arteta’s triumph also makes him the first Arsenal manager since Arsène Wenger to win the award, underlining the incredible turnaround he has overseen at the North London club.

Speaking after receiving the award, Arteta praised his players, coaching staff, and the Arsenal supporters for believing in the project throughout the difficult moments. He described the achievement as a collective success and insisted the team remains hungry for more trophies in the coming years.

The triumph places Arteta alongside some of the Premier League’s elite managers and further strengthens his growing legacy at Arsenal. Some will believe this title-winning season could be the beginning of a new era of dominance for the North London side.
