Manchester United have reached a verbal agreement to sign Bayern Munich right-back, Noussair Mazraoui as the defender is getting closer with a move to Old Trafford.

Noussair Mazraoui was close to reaching a deal with West Ham but the deal failed to see the light of day after the parties failed to reach an agreement. The Hammers are close and have moved their attention to Manchester United's right-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka who is currently in the final season of his contract with the Red Devils.

Mazraoui will be looking to reunite with Erik Ten Hag after both parties were together at Ajax for four years. He thinks that Mazraoui can help bring out the best from Antony.

Both players had a good combination at Ajax during their title-winning seasons of 2020/21 and 2021/22 which might give hope to supporters of Manchester United.

Why is Manchester United interested in Noussair Mazraoui?

Manchester United's first-choice, Luke Shaw, is not part of the US tour due to his European Championship participation with England and having spent most of his time on the bench while Tyrell Malacia, his deputy, missed all of last season with a knee injury and was left out of the tour squad to continue his rehabilitation at the club’s Carrington training complex.
