The supporters of Manchester United have been left excited and out of words after the club released its away kit ahead of the 2024/25 football season.
The Blue kit was released on the official website of Manchester United on Thursday, July 25, 2024. It was modelled by most of the regular faces in the first team, which includes Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The designers of the jersey Adidas confirmed that the idea behind the jersey is to pay tribute to River Irwell, which flows by Old Trafford. A statement was released to further explain the idea of the jersey colour and design.
The statement read thus,
"With a bold design that nods to football culture, this Adidas Manchester United jersey looks equally at home on and off the pitch. Silver details pop against an indigo base that also includes a subtle, repeating 'M' monogram. The light blue graphic on that stylish polo collar pays tribute to the river on which Old Trafford sits."
