Ronaldo and Uzoho

Manchester United took to the social media platform to react to the world-class display from the Super Eagles goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho. Uzoho had made a total of 12 stunning saves in the UEFA Europa League second-leg fixture involving the Red Devils against Omonia, even though his side had ended up losing the game in the final minutes of the game.

Francis Uzoho had not been scheduled to play the fixture as the Nigerian is not the first-choice goalkeeper for the Cyprus side, but as luck would have it, Uzoho had been played in his place as the first-choice goalkeeper had missed the game due to an injury.

His performance had been world-class as he pulled stunning double saves that had given Omonia a lifeline in the game; his performance had been noteworthy as Manchester United took to their official platform on social media to share a post that read:

Recognizing a top performance from @UzohoF.

David De Gea, who is the shot-stopper for Manchester United, also reacted to the performance of Francis Uzoho during his post-match interview.

Of course. I think he [Uzoho] had an amazing game, I think he made eight or 10 great saves for his team in the game but in the end we scored a goal and for sure he made a great game.

I know he played in La Liga in Spain. He had an amazing game and congratulations for him.
