The Cityzens came into the final game of the season with one point ahead of their closest rival, Liverpool. Manchester City beat Aston Villa 3-2 in what seemed to to be a nervous game for the Etihad club.

The title seems to be going to Anfield when Villa led the game up until the 70th minute with goals from Mathy Cash and Phillipe Coutinho. However, goals from Rodri and a brace from Gundogan ensured Manchester City was crowned Champions.

Liverpool did their job on the other end won their game 3-1 against Wolves. The Reds also conceded the first goal but goals from Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson.

The other notable positions saw Tottenham finish in fourth place which means the London team will play in the UEFA Champions League next season. Arsenal and Manchester United will play in the Europa League while West Ham will play in the Conference League.

Leeds United survived relegation as they beat Brentford 2-1. Burnley, Watford and Norwich City finished in the preparation zone.
