Man United have completed the sale of their first player in the June 2024 transfer window market in a bid to finalize all deals before the start of the pre-season games.

Erik Ten Hag's Man United seem to have their eyes set on completing as many as possible transfer moves in the June 2024 transfer window with the full backing of the Sir Jim Ratcliffe-led INOES management.

Donny van de Beek has completed a £500,000 transfer to Girona, ending his difficult spell at Manchester United. This move marks a significant financial loss for United, who initially signed Van de Beek from Ajax for £35 million.

However, reports indicate that bonuses could increase the total fee to £8 million ($10 million), and United have retained a substantial sell-on clause.

Van de Beek joined Manchester United with high expectations in the 2020/2021 season but struggled to secure a regular starting spot. After a promising first term with 19 Premier League appearances, his game time significantly dwindled, leading to loan spells at smaller clubs.

According to reports his contract with Girona runs until 2028, and Van de Beek aims to reignite his career. Despite earning 19 caps for the Netherlands, he was overlooked for the Euro 2024 squad. Fans are hopeful that he will perform better in La Liga with Girona, who finished an impressive third in the 2023-24 season and will compete in the Champions League.
