Manchester City Football Club have reportedly reached an agreement for Joško Gvardiol as a possible replacement for Joao Cancelo.
The Cityzens have reached an agreement with Bundesliga side, RB Leipzig for the Croatian international, Joško Gvardiol. Transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the player has already agreed to sign a long-term deal with Manchester City. He is expected to undergo his medical this week and get unveiled before the start of the new season.
Manchester City is expected to pay £77 million for the defender. He has been a key player for Leipzig in the 87 games he played for them since signing from Dynamo Zagreb in 2021.
Gvardiol will be a good addition to the left side of City's left central defence alongside Ruben Dias, Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake who can also play in that position.
The 21-year-old will be Manchester City's second signing of the season after his fellow Croatian Matteo Kovacic who joined the treble winners from Chelsea in June 2023 for £25m.
