It has been reported that Liverpool Football Club and Feyenoord have agreed for Arne Slot to replace Jurgen Klopp as manager at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the agreement on his official account on April 26th, 2024. A compensation deal has been sealed between the two parties.

Slot is seen as the perfect replacement for Klopp, having led Feyenoord to their second Eredivisie title last season. He has been one of Liverpool's top candidates since Klopp announced his departure from Anfield.

During a press conference, Slot expressed his interest in joining Liverpool and stated that he expects Feyenoord to want as much money as possible for his transfer. He has previously been approached by Tottenham, Chelsea, and Leeds. Slot signed a new contract in May 2023 to stay at Feyenoord until 2026, but has expressed a desire to take the next step in his career.
