Liverpool react to Al-Ittihad's outrageous bid for Mohamed Salah

The Reds rejected the verbal bid for Mohamed Salah according to reports from the Athletic website. According to reports, the Saudi Arabia pro league side were ready to pay a fee in excess of £100million plus huge add-ons.

The representatives of Al-Ittihad reached out to Liverpool director Mike Gordon on Thursday, August 31, 2023 but the Reds were adamant that the midfielder is not for sale. Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has always maintained his ground that Salah was never going to leave the club no matter the pressure from Saudi Arabia.

Salah signed a new three-year contract during the 2022 summer transfer window, which made him the highest-paid player in Liverpool history on around £350,000 per week.

Salah has been a big part of Liverpool's success in recent seasons which saw them win the Premier League for the first time in the club's history.
