Liverpool has confirmed the departure of its third-choice goalkeeper, Adrian, after he turned down a new contract offer.
The 37-year-old played a significant role in Liverpool's dressing room, contributing to pre-match warm-ups and assisting with coaching duties for Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher. Adrian's exit paves the way for Vitezslav Jaros, who will be promoted as the new third-choice goalkeeper for the upcoming season.
Liverpool announced the news on its official website, expressing gratitude to Adrian for his dedication and support during his five years at the club.
Kelleher was also rumored to be leaving Liverpool, with Nottingham Forest reportedly making a £15 million bid to sign him in January, which was turned down. However, Nottingham Forest recently signed another keeper, Carlos Miguel.
Liverpool is seeking at least £25 million for Kelleher, following an impressive season standing in for Alisson. The club plans to integrate Jaros into the senior goalkeeping team. Jaros, who hails from Czechia, joined Liverpool in 2017 from Slavia Prague.
