The supporters of Manchester United suffered a huge blow following the decision by Chelsea Football Club to reject their second bid for Mason Mount.
The Red Devils saw their bid of £45 million plus £5 million add-ons for the midfielder rejected by the Blues, according to reports from the Athletic. Chelsea has placed a value of £60 million plus £5 million add-ons for the 24-year-old England International.
Manchester United and Mount have agreed on personal terms but they are not ready to pay excess money on the midfielder because he has just one year left on his contract.
However, there might still be a lot of twists and turns in this deal because Chelsea could lose him as a free agent next year when he runs out of his contract. Mount is a product of the Chelsea academy and has made 195 appearances for the club since his first-team debut in 2017, scoring 33 goals.
He spent two seasons out on loan at Vitesse
