Among his biggest concerns are the proposed expansion of the 2030 FIFA World Cup to 64 teams, increasingly lengthy half-time breaks, additional stoppages during matches, and what he described as political interference in football governance.
The Spanish football chief also warned that FIFA's direction threatens domestic leagues and thousands of jobs across the football industry, claiming the governing body is prioritizing global spectacle over the long-term health of the game.
Tebas' comments come amid mounting criticism of Infantino following the controversy surrounding the reversal of Folarin Balogun's suspension during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. While several prominent figures have demanded his resignation, reports indicate Infantino has no intention of stepping down and is expected to seek a fourth term as FIFA president later this year.
Tebas has frequently clashed with FIFA in recent years over issues such as the expanded Club World Cup and the international match calendar.
