Mbappe is in the final five months of his contract and has not indicated any sign that he will renew the deal at the end of the season. A German sports news outlet, Bild confirmed the news on its website on Monday, January 31st, 2022.

There have been a lot of saga as it concerns Mbappe's contract saga since last summer transfer window but PSG and the player have failed to reach a middle ground. If the winger fails to sign a new deal, that means he will leave the club for free at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old who joined PSG from Monaco in 2018 is expected to earn at least £50 million in a year, if the deal between himself and Real Madrid sees the light of day.
