Kai Havertz has officially marked his register of goals for Arsenal as the German international scored a beauty in the pre-season fixture for the Gunners.
Amidst speculations as to if one of Arsenal FC's top signings of the summer transfer window 2023, Kai Havertz, would be a good addition to Mikel Arteta's squad, the German international, who completed a move estimated to be worth over 60 million euros, has scored his first goal for the Gunners in the pre-season match against MLS All Stars.
Havertz, who came on as a substitute in the second half, scored a half-volley from a beautiful cross from his teammate. The German international was the center of attraction on social media after a video of his practicing his volleys and not scoring any went viral.
The German seems to be set on proving doubters wrong after his spell at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge. He revealed this in an interview after the signing was completed before the pre-season games started. He said, "It's super exciting for me personally. I'm so glad to join this amazing club. This club has such a big history, and I hope we we can achieve lots of things, and I'm just looking forward to meeting all the players, the staff, and yeah, it's going to be exciting. I think the family mentality that the team has on the pitch is one of the reasons why it so hard to play against Arsenal. I guess they have it off the pitch as well. So the team mentality in the squad is very, very high and you can feel that. Obviously there's so many talented players and there’s big room to achieve big things as well."
