The future of Josh Acheampong at Chelsea Football Club which has been in doubt in the past few months has officially been sorted after an agreement was reached between both parties.
The initial contract of Josh Acheampong was initially slayed to expire at the end of the 2025/26 season with most Premier League already eyeing the youngster. Negotiations between Chelsea and Acheampong had left him lacking game time at senior and age-group.
However as progress the academy graduate earn his full first-team debut in the recent Conference League victory at Astana. He ha stated training with the head coach Enzo Maresca’s squad on a daily basis and has a good chance to start again when Shamrock Rovers visit in the same competition on Thursday, December 19, 2024.
He stated his football career with Chelsea at Under-8s stage, also came through their system and turned professional in January before then-coach Mauricio Pochettino gave him a first senior appearance; coming off the bench in a 2-0 home win over Tottenham Hotspur last season.
Chelsea supporters will hope this new deal will bring success to the club whenever he is available for selection
