Arsenal Football Club have confirmed the contract extension of one of its senior players at the club, Jorginho.
The club confirmed that the Italian will remain at the club on its official website on Thursday, May 9, 2024. Jorginho joined the Gunners from Chelsea and has been an integral part of Mikel Arteta's squad, making more than 50 appearances in all competitions.

I am really happy to stay. There was not much to discuss because I feel really good here. Just to know that they appreciate me and want me to stay longer as well, it’s a big thing for me. I feel that I have more to do, so that’s why I am staying."
What did Arteta say about the new deal?
"We are delighted that Jorgi has signed a new contract with us. Jorgi is such an important part of our team, a role model with great leadership skills and a unique playing style ability which makes everybody better around him on the pitch. We’re very pleased that Jorgi and his family have committed with us and we’re all excited to continue this journey together.”
How many years did Jorginho sign in the new contract?
The former Chelsea player signed a one-year deal which will keep him at the club until 2025.
