Jesse Lingard joins top club as a free agent

Former England and Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard has officially joined Brazilian club Sport Club Corinthians Paulista on a short-term deal until the end of the 2026 season.

The Brazilian side confirmed the move on March 6, 2026. The 33-year-old moved to Brazil after spending two years with South Korean side FC Seoul, where he revived his career and scored 16 goals during his period

The contract reportedly includes an automatic extension until the end of 2027 if certain performance targets are met. This move will allow him to unite with former Manchester United teammate Memphis Depay, who already plays for the Brazilian club.
