Former Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is reportedly closing in on a potential move to Spanish side Getafe, with the LaLiga club making an official offer to sign the England international as a free agent.
There are multiple reports that Getafe are keen to strengthen their attacking options and have identified the 26-year-old as a potential addition to their squad. The club's manager, José Bordalás, is reportedly keen on bringing the talented winger to Spain.
However, the transfer has not yet been completed, as Sancho is still considering the offer with his representatives. Getafe president Ángel Torres has confirmed that the club is in contact with Sancho, revealing that discussions took place several months ago and have resumed.
Torres described Sancho as an interesting player wanted by the manager, while acknowledging that the club must find a financially viable way to complete the deal. One of the major obstacles is reportedly Sancho's salary expectations, with reports suggesting that his financial demands could be difficult for Getafe to accommodate within LaLiga's financial regulations.
Sancho left Manchester United after his contract expired in the summer of 2026. He spent the previous season on loan at Aston Villa, making 39 appearances across all competitions. A move to Getafe would offer the former Borussia Dortmund star an opportunity to restart his career in Spanish football.
For now, negotiations are ongoing, and the final outcome remains uncertain.
