Onana was dropped entirely from Cameroon’s squad for their crucial clash against Serbia at the 2022 World Cup. The 26-year-old goalkeeper, who plays his club football for Serie A side Inter Milan, was not included among the substitutes for the Indomitable Lions.
There have been reports from the Camp of Cameroon that the reason why Onana was dropped was because of his disciplinary attitude which did not go well from Song.
However, Transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Onana refused to change his playing style after being asked to become more “traditional”, with the decision taken to remove him from the team as a result of this.
