Here is why Manchester United will play only one league game in January 2024

The supporters of Manchester United will probably get to see play twice in January 2024, one in the league and the other in the FA Cup.

The club explained the reason in a statement released on its official website. According to the club, the arrangement of the scheduling of the fixture was the major reason why only one league game will be played in January.

"Our Premier League away clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers has been moved from Tuesday 30 January to Thursday 1 February, when it will kick off at 20:15 GMT and be shown on TNT Sports"

This decision means that United's home game against West Ham, which was originally slated for February 3, will now have to be rearranged. However, there is a possibility that another match could be added to their light January schedule, provided they defeat League One side, Wigan Athletic.

If they beat Wigan at the DW Stadium they would reach the fourth round of the FA Cup. The round of matches will be played over the weekend of January 27-28, 2024.
