There have been reports that a lot of changes could happen at Old Trafford following the arrival of a minority stakeholder, Sir Jim Ratcliffe during the 2023 summer.
There are reports from various media outlets that one of the major names that could leave Old Trafford before next season is Erik Ten Hag. Daily Star confirmed that Sir Jim Ratcliffe is open to the idea of moving towards a ‘head coach’ model, wherein other members of the club’s staff would be in charge of various tasks at Old Trafford.
This new change could see the recruitment of players shifted away from Erik ten Hag, and this idea does not go down well with the Dutchman.
Ten Hag is planning to have talks with Ratcliffe at the end of the season, with the possibility of him voluntarily leaving his role at the club on the table. However, the name going around the media as a possible replacement for Ten Hag is the head coach of England, Gareth Southgate.
Ten Hag joined United in April 2022, he led them to their first trophy in six years by winning the Carabao Cup. He has the chance to double his trophy haul if his United side can defeat Coventry City and either Chelsea or Manchester City in the FA Cup.
