Here is why Arsenal's Bukayo Saka left England's training camp

Reports now indicate that Arsenal's Bukayo Saka has departed from England's training camp a few days before the commencement of the international friendlies.

According to reports the departure of Bukayo Saka from England's training camp and his return to London is as a result of an injury. Bukayo Saka is the fourth player from Arsenal to pull out of the March 2024 international friendlies.

Saka has been in fine form for Arsenal this season as they sit top of the Premier League and prepare for a Champions League quarter-final clash with Bayern Munich. the 22-year-old will miss friendlies against Brazil and Belgium - the last two England games before Gareth Southgate announces his squad for Euro 2024 in May. Saka had worked indoors on an individual programme at St George's Park on Wednesday, along with captain Harry Kane, Cole Palmer and Jordan Henderson.

His injury as well as his departure from camp was confirmed in an official statement released by the Football Association which read, "Bukayo Saka has left the England camp and returned to his club for continued rehabilitation. The Arsenal forward reported to St George's Park with an injury and has been unable to participate in training. No further replacements are planned as a 25-man England squad continue their preparation for the forthcoming internationals with Brazil and Belgium."
