Following his brace which saw Bayern Munich qualify for the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League, England international Harry Kane has equalled Didier Drogba's goal-scoring record in the competition.

The second round of the round of 16 fixtures for the UEFA Champions League kicked off with two exciting matches: Bayern Munich vs Lazio and Real Sociedad vs PSG. Bayern Munich's performance was nothing short of impressive, as they secured their qualification into the next round of the competition with a resounding 3-0 victory over Lazio.

Striker Harry Kane was the star of the show in the Bayern match, scoring two goals to take his total tally of goals in the UEFA Champions League to 50, which is the same number of goals scored by the legendary Chelsea and Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba in the competition.

Speaking on the victory and qualification of his side Harry Kane defined the night as a perfect one for the team. He said, "It's a perfect night for us. It was a big game. We were 1-0 down in the first leg. This obviously was a big moment in our season. It was a top performance. The first goal was just about getting into the box. We've been talking about it all week. In the second goal, I took my time finishing with my left foot — it was nice to see how it worked."

Bayern will be looking to take this form back to the Bundesliga with players like Serge Gnarby and Alphonso Davies both returning from injury to boost the quality of the squad.
