Pep Guardiola has shared news Manchester City fans would wish wasn't true as the head coach confirmed that integral players in the squad, Erling Haaland and Cancelo might not be available for Man City's Premier League fixture against Leicester scheduled for this weekend.
Pep confirmed this at the UEFA Champions League post match conference which was held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, shortly after the goal less fixture against Dortmund where both players had featured in.
Haaland and Cancelo had been substituted off after the first half of the game and reporters asked Pep if there was a reason for this change and he revealed that both stars were subbed off as a result of a flu they had as well as a knock Haaland had picked.
He revealed:

There were three things. Firstly, I saw him so tired. The second one he had a bit of a fever, like Joao Cancelo.
The third, he had a knock on his foot. That's why he wasn’t able to play in the second-half.
When asked if both stars would be fit for the weekend he revealed:
I don’t know right now. They [City's medical staff] were a little bit concerned at half-time, but I saw him walking okay at the end, so we'll have to see.
