Potter was speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of the Blue's premier league game against Bournemouth. He traveled to California during the World Cup to meet up with Eghbali, the most significant investor at the club after Todd Boehly.
I'm even more confident, even more aware of the support I have now than three months ago when I took the job,' he said. 'It's a credit to them and how they have communicated with me, it's been fantastic. We all know the pressure and demands at this club, but we have also got enough people who can see the perspective and where we are at to be able to say, This is where we are, how can we improve. I'm really looking forward to the weeks, months and years ahead. We understand where we are at and the challenges.
Potter was appointed manager of Chelsea just a few days after Thomas Tuchel was sacked by the club following a disagreement between both parties.
