N'Golo Kante is one of the few players at Chelsea Football Club that needs his contract to be sorted out before the end of the football season.
FRANCK RIBERY CALLS IT QUIT ON FOOTBALL IN AN EMOTIONAL WAY
The head coach of Chelsea Football Club, Graham Potter has given an update on the future of the French midfielder. The Englishman was speaking at a press conference ahead of the game against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
Potter was asked by one of the reporters at the press conference if the club have begun talks with Kante for a contract extension.
Not at the moment, the most important thing for us and for me is that we get him back to fit. That is the focus. He got a long road ahead of him and we have got to get him back fit and strong before any conversations can really take place. We have to make sure N'Golo gets the right treatment and when we get to that stage, he will be back playing and enjoying his football, then we can think about those things then.
Kante suffered an injury in Chelsea's opening game of the league at Stamford Bridge against Tottenham Hotspur.
