Turkish giants Galatasaray have now completed the signing of another Nigerian footballer for the 2024/2025 season.
Super Falcons of Nigeria defender Tosin Demehin is the latest footballer to have joined the Turkish Super League giants, Galatasaray. On Monday, September 23, 2024, the Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray Petrol Ofisi officially unveiled Demehin as their latest signing.
Demehin signed a one-year contract, which will see her play for Galatasaray during the 2024/2025 season. Following the completion of the transfer, she was introduced on the club's social media platforms, proudly donning the Galatasaray jersey.
Demehin's football journey began in the Nigerian Women's Football League (NWFL), where she played for Sunshine Stars and later Rivers Angels FC. Her international breakthrough came when she represented Nigeria’s U-20 team, the Falconets, at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

Afterward, Demehin secured a move to French side Reims to continue her development. She has since represented the Super Falcons at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup and participated in the 2024 Olympic Games.
While Demehin will be part of Galatasaray’s women’s team, her fellow Nigerian, Victor Osimhen, will be playing for the men's team following his loan transfer from Napoli.
