The former manager of Chelsea Football Club, Frank Lampard has given his opinion about the team's performance since Mauricio Pochettino took over the club.
Frank Lampard was speaking in an interview with Sky Sports News where he was asked about the club this season. According to the England international, he is not shocked with the way the team are playing this season but he expected them to have acquired more points.
The Chelsea legend also spoke about the challenges he went through when he was in charge of the club as a caretaker manager after Graham Potter was sacked.
"We had unprecedented [squad] numbers. A lot of players felt their time was up at Chelsea and I lived that feeling. There is no magic wand and the Premier League is the most unforgiving. I expected more in terms of points but I never felt it would be an instant turnaround.”
Chelsea suffered one of their worst performance in almost four decades last season ( 2022/24) with four managers in the dugout in one season. The supporters of the club will hope their fortune changes this season (2023/24) under Mauricio Pochettino.
