We have highlighted your best picks for captain choice ahead of FPL Week 2 for the 2024/25 season.

Here are the top five FPL captain choices for Week 2

(1) Errling Haaland:

The Norwegian International rewarded FPL managers who kept faith in him against Chelsea as he gave them a return by scoring Manchester City's first goal of the 2024/25 season and also took his goal tally to 91 in 100 games.

The Cityzens face newly promoted side Ipswich Town at the Etihad Stadium which is their first game at home this season. Haaland is the top pick for the captain's choice as he is expected to score more than one goal.

(2) Kevin De Bruyne:

The Belgian should find it easy against Ipswich Town though he blanked against Chelsea but he showed a glimpse of what he is capable of doing on the pitch whenever he gets selected by Pep Guardiola. De Bruyne is expected to give assists and also score goals.

(3) Josko Gvardiol:

Gvardiol is the third choice of FPL captain's choice for Week 2 not just for his defensive abilities but also for what he needs for Manchester City whenever they attack. He is expected to bring in returns not just for clean-sheets but also attacking returns.

(4) Mohamed Salah:

Salah has remained one of the most consistent players for FPL managers since he made his debut for Liverpool in the Premier League. He took his goal tally on the first day of the league to nine goals when he scored in Liverpool's opening game of the season against Ipswich Town.

FPL managers expect the Egyptian King to continue from where he left off when the Reds host Brentford at Anfield.

(5) Alexander Isak:

Newcastle United's forward player showed a glimpse of what he could do when they faced Southampton in the opening game of the season. He is expected to continue in the same footsteps in the Magpies next game against Bournemouth.
