Every country around the world always looks forward to hosting the FIFA World Cup at least once in its history.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will b the 23rd FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international men's soccer championship contested by the national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The tournament will be jointly hosted by 16 cities in three North American countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
However, most nations have started submitting their bid for the 24th edition of the tournament in 2030. Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Chile have announced their joint bid for the 2030 World Cup.
If the bid is accepted that means the World Cup tournament will celebrate its 100th anniversary in Uruguay, where the first tournament was held.
Spain and Portugal have also come together to propose a joint bid to host the 2030 World Cup with three stadiums outlined in Portugal and 11 in Spain.

Japan and South Korea are still the countries to co-host a World Cup, with the 2026 event shared among the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The latter tournament will be the first to have 48 teams participate in it.
