The Formula 1 organisers have announced that this year's Russian Grand Prix will not go on as expected.

The news was confirmed by the body on Friday, February 25th, 2022 after an emergency meeting was held on Thursday. According to the outcome of the meeting, it would be impossible to hold this year's Russian Grand Prix under the current circumstances going on in both Ukraine and Russia.
