Formula 1, construction company Haas, has confirmed the termination of the contract of their Russian driver, Nikita Mazepin, ahead of the new season.

The decision taken by Haas was because of the recent invasion by Russian President, Vladimir Putin In Ukraine. The construction company has been under a lot of pressure from the public since the invasion but they stalled on their decision.
Haas decided to terminate the contract on Saturday, March 5th, 2022 in a statement released on Saturday, March 5th, 2022. FIA had earlier announced that any driver from Russia or Belarus will have to participate as a neutral person and Nikita already accepted the decision taken by the body.
The driver's construction company had earlier announced that Pietro Fittipaldi will be the first option to replace, Nikita.
