Footballer who reportedly paid Dani Alves' 1-million dollars bail fee revealed

Following the official confirmation of Dani Alves being out on bail, the football star who made the payment of one million dollars in bail fees has been revealed.

Dani Alves was revealed to have met the bail conditions alongside paying the sum of one million dollars in bail fees to secure his temporary release from prison. The former Brazil and Barcelona star was revealed to have not been able to afford the bail fee and reports now indicate that Dani Alves had received support from the Atletico Madrid and Netherlands forward Memphis Depay.

Sources reveal that Alves, a Brazilian former footballer, was unable to access the sum due to debts and frozen bank accounts. Depay, who developed a close relationship with Alves during their time at Barcelona in the 2021/22 season, provided one million euros to help his former teammate pay the bail to help his former teammate pay the bail.

Dani Alves has received a 4.5 years prison sentence after he was found guilty by the court of the rape of a 23-year-old woman in Barcelona in December 2023. The football star aside from paying the bail fee has been given a set of guidelines he must abide to following his bail period. He has seen his two passports confiscated as well as been handed a restraining order that will see him stay far from the victim.
