The English FA Cup is always known for its upset whenever the teams face each other in this competition. All Premier League and Championship clubs have been drawn into the third round of the 2023/23 FA Cup.
The draw took place ahead of Eastleigh and Reading's second-round match at the Silverlake Stadium on Sunday, December 3, 2023. The major headline of the round's fixture is the clash between Arsenal and Liverpool while Sunderland play Newcastle United for the first time in seven years.
Manchester United were drawn away in a domestic cup tie for the first time since 2021 as they go to Wigan, after having 12 games in a row at Old Trafford. Defending Champions, Manchester City were handed a home tie against Championship side Huddersfield, while Chelsea also have a home fixture against second-tier opposition in Preston.
