Manchester City forward player, Erling Haaland might be unavailable for the Cityzens next game in the league against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.
The 22-year-old withdrew from Norway's camp during the FIFA International break against Spain and Georgia due to a groin injury he picked up in the FA Cup game against Burnley. Pep Guardiola could be without his top striker for the game against the Reds as he looks to challenge for the Premier League title.
Haaland's father, Alfie the injury to his son might be touch and go. According to him, speaking in an interview with Norway TV 2, he said, Haaland needs a lot of care but the injury might be worse than first feared.
Manchester City has a partnership with a hospital in Barcelona so he has been there for further checks and treatment. Now he has been here [Marbella] for a couple of days with the physio from the club. Firstly, I'm not a doctor and secondly, I think it's 'touch and go, yes. You can't just go two weeks without training and then jump right into a fight. There must be a progression there. They can gamble on it, but if he doesn’t get proper training with the team, then he won't play. It is about how he responds to treatment in the next few days. He needs a lot of care.
Manchester City fans will hope their striker can be fit in time before the game against Liverpool. Haaland has been in fantastic form this season, scoring eight goals in less than seven games.
