Manchester City could be without its forward player, Erling Haaland when they face their league rivals, Liverpool after the international break.

The Norwegian reportedly picked up an injury during Norway's 2-0 win over the Faroe Islands on Thursday, November 16, 2023, after twisting his ankle. Erling Haaland came off the bench in the friendly game but he was clutching his ankle with few minutes before the referee blew the final whistle.

Norway's team doctor, Ola Sand confirmed after the game that this injury is similar to the one he suffered in the game against Bournemouth which saw him substituted after the first half break.

"It was much of the same that happened against Bournemouth a week-and-a-half ago. He has had it before too. He gets a slight twist in his ankle, where he is a bit vulnerable. It hurts a lot right away, and then it goes away pretty quickly. Then we'll see tomorrow how he is then."

Manchester City supporters will be in disarray, if Haaland fails to pass match fitness before the game against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium on November 25, 2023.
