The manager of Manchester United, Erik Ten Hag has given an update on the fitness of Marcus Rashford ahead of the remaining three games of the season.
The Dutchman confirmed that Rashford trained with the team throughout the week but he missed the training today ( Friday), May 18, 2023, due to an illness. Ten Hag confirmed the news at a press conference ahead of this weekend's game against Bournemouth.
"Rashy, he trained the whole week but today he reported he doesn't feel well so he's ill. We have to see how he recovers during the day and then see tomorrow."
Manchester United will need Rashford to be in good form as they look to secure a spot in the top four at the end of the season. They are currently in fourth place with 66 points, one point behind Newcastle United. The Red Devils play Bournemouth, Chelsea and Fulham in the next eight days.

The English striker was substituted in the second half of the game against Everton which was played on Saturday, April 8th, 2023. According to Ten Hag, the injury situation looks awful but it still has to be accessed. Rashford has been the most consistent player this season since Ten Hag was appointed as the manager of the club.
