The agents of Axel Disasi and Raheem Sterling will be working round the clock to ensure that both players find a suitable club for them when the 2026 January transfer window opens in a few weeks.
Both Disasi and Sterling were surplus to requirements under Enzo Maresca since the beginning of the 2025/26 season and were unable to find a club before the summer transfer window closed in September 2025.
Maresca was asked about the status of both players while he was speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Burnley.
He said,
Disasi and Sterling are both Chelsea players. Axel is helping the second team, helping the young players as he did during the international break. At the moment, he is helping the second team and helping them”.
Disasi and Sterling have both been frozen out of the first team and have been training alone since the start of this season. They are being both monitored by some clubs in the Premier League.
