Ben Chilwell is one of the names that could be on his way out of Chelsea Football Club before the end of the January transfer window.
The England international has failed to break into the team list for the Blues since the arrival of Enzo Maresca at Chelsea at the beginning of this current season (2024/25).
Maresca was speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of the Premier League clash against Bournemouth. According to him, Ben Chilwell has been hardworking in training but, unfortunately, he cannot break into the first team.
He said,
He has been top. I have to say that; very professional, and works hard. I feel shame because of that situation but in terms of behaviour, he has been very good. I think Chilwell is a top full-back doing that job up and down but I struggle to see Ben doing different kind of things."

He also spoke about Reece James who recently returned from injury after a very long time.
"I am not a fan of full-backs up and down. He can play everywhere. Reece is playing in four or five different positions. Talk about position, for me, football today you have to be a football player and play in different positions."
Chelsea supporters will hope that the future of Ben Chilwell can be sorted before the transfer window closes.
